I gotta admit that "Killer Klowns From Outer Space" makes me laugh out loud with its crazy concept and antics. But folks please don't forget that those Killer Klowns are scary cool with wicked intentions.

 -

This movie is considered comedy horror, but I'm not sure this flick qualifies because there are actually parts of the movie that creep me out a bit.  For instance, when the clown is motioning to the little girl to come out and play with him and also when the clown uses Moody as a puppet later.  Both great scenes, but not for everyone especially if clowns make you uncomfortable.

 -

Would you consider "Killer Klowns From Outer Space" a cult classic? The tone of the movie was definitely a sort of quirky horror while never truly taking itself too seriously.

 -

It was so neat to see actors like Grant Cramer (Hardbodies), Suzanne Synder (Weird Science), John Allen Nelson (Hunk), & John Vernon (Animal House) in different roles as well.

 -

Definitely need to movie night this one soon!

Hey Ronnie .. I know you're a fan .. have you heard anything about this coming out in 2013?:

Supposedly there was a ton of buzz generated in 2011 on it. Grant Cramer and the Chiodo brothers are attached which is important to me. Now if we could only find the Terenzi brothers we would be set! [Big Grin]

Valentine.
I have heard nothing about it, but 3-D Killer Klowns sounds like fun!

One of my favorite music pieces from the movie:

It also starts the playlist for the other cool moments in the movie. I love the music in the film!!...complete with the actual theme!

[Stacy] We want you to take us home right now.
[Tracy] Yeah!
[Paul Terenzi] Take it easy. Keep your shirt on.
[Tracy] Don't worry. We intend to.

Love it!

Recently re-watched "Killer Klowns from Outer Space" on Blu-ray. Classic '80's campy cult sci-fi flick.

Many scenes made me laugh out loud; The scene when that one small clown had the fight with those tough bikers was hilarious!

And, the bizarre make-up/prosthetics on the clowns themselves was well-done for the time period.

I think that it's almost impossible to set out to create a deliberate cult film, but Killer Klowns actually succeeds. It's a goofy Grade-Z film with no budget and some bad acting, but the clowns are fantastic, and it is very entertaining. How can you not like a movie that casts John Vernon, who appears to be having the time of his life, as a cop, who gets to utter the immortal line, "Are you trying to tell me that there are killer clowns from outer space?" That made my smile just typing it.
