Please help me name this movie! A rich girl goes on a beach vacation and falls for a surfer/doorman. That is all a can remember. It wasn't a raunchy comedy like Spring Break. The female lead had dark hair and the surfer had sandy blonde hair. Hope someone can help. [Smile]

Those aren't it, but thanks for the help! I've only found 2 threads on the internet of people who were enquiring about this movie, no one could answer the question though. I may never find out. [Frown] I appreciate it all the replies peeps!

But we have only just begun with our guessing.. and we are determined to find out which movie this might be ! [Big Grin]

How about Summer Fantasy , a 1984 made for tv movie.. or Aloha Summer (1988) ?

Those aren't it but thanks for your optimism. Hope this message board can help. The lead guy has been in other 80's movies, I can see his face but can't think of one darn movie he's been in. He's got a square face & blue eyes. I'm sure that can't help, but I thought I'd throw that in. [Big Grin]

Hey, can't this guy you just described be Gary Busey.. and the movie Big Wednesday (1978) ?

Posted by Jodio (Member # 10838) on :

Nope, it's not! I love him though! Wish I could figure it out, it's bugging the heck out of me!

Is it Spongebob?

Patrick Swayze had a rich girl fall in love with him in Dirty Dancing.. was a doorman in Road House..
and did some surfing in Point Break.

Pretty useless information probably, but i thought it was such a remarkable coincidence that
i wanted to post it here anyhow. [Big Grin]

Ha, useless info but it made me giggle. Let me clear this up. He was a doorman to an upscale hotel or apartment complex. A bellhop I guess you'd call it. He worked at the place she was staying. He only did this job so he could surf. He took this meaningless job to support his extracurricular activities, so to speak. She I believe was a rich girl on spring break or maybe just vacation. It was definitely 80's, I do recall him maybe having a mullet! [Big Grin] Thanks for the giggle!

if he had a mullet it must have been swayze!

Haha, love the Swayze connection [Cool]

So many beach flicks, this one seems to be a tough nut to crack...
Are you sure it was an American movie or maybe some obscure Canadian/Australian one?

I'm pretty sure it was an American movie. Yes, the Swayze connection cracks me up!
