Devolution here,

Are there ever movies that you quote that people just haven't caught onto? Movies that - for the most part you and your family or friends quote but everyone else looks at your like you are either a) nuts for liking that movie or b) nuts for taking the time to memorize it?

One of mine... Moving Violations.

A great movie, but should anyone feel the need to quote John Murray? I say yes.

We are DEVO

I'm forever quoting movies. My problem is that whenever I then pause to see if anyone gets the connection, all I seem to experience are tumbleweed moments.

For that reason, my title for this thread would be Movies that you quote that other people don't recognise...

when i was cleaning a car showroom a good few years back me and a couple of work mates had been discussing and quoting young guns most of the day!

when we went to leave to get in the works van i said to my mates "regulators, lets ride" and a couple of the car salesmen looked at us all very strangely! [Big Grin]

"reap the whirlwind sheriff brady, reap it!"

I always do a little Joan Cusack from Sixteen Candles on the bus when someone says something and I don't really have much of a response..."Uhh..yeah".

i love making very obscure 80's movie quotes that no one ever picks up on.

one i've used to death and will continue to use for my own amusement is: "what, no mustard?"- the stomach from meatballs(i love quoting this movie).

i don't just haphazardly throw quotes out though. the quote always needs to be used in context of the conversation or action going on. i take my obscure quoting very seriously.

Certainly won'ts surprise anyone, but I quote SKOW a lot. Not even intentionally, it just happens.

Like I'm repeating something I've told the kids a hundred times, and I suddenly realise I've said "How many times do I need to tell you this? I don't know, how many times?"

most of the characters from crimewave, most of my everyday conversation is comprised of movie quotes from all movies
