When you talk about some of the greatest visionaries of special effects and make up artistry in cinema from the 1970's to present time. I guarantee you that one name that will always come up is Rick Baker. Baker is responsible for some of the most influential and memorable special effects and make up/creature creation work in cinema history.
So I'm curious as to what are some of your favorite Works of Rick Baker?
...again, I'd like to add pics here, but sorry I can't..my computer is still down. So I'm counting on you all to post some cool pics of some of Baker's best works.

Even when I look at this now I am still baffled by how good the effects are. To me this is amazing and Rick Baker's finest work. This is one of my favourite films of all time. It was also the first horror film I ever saw.
I was only a baby when this was being filmed, but we lived just around the corner from Nurse Alex Price. Jenny Agutter is so hot.
Be sure to get this on Blu Ray. It looks amazing. That howl of the werewolf on the moors is spine chilling.

Pyro, I think Rick started doing work on The Howling but then left it to a protoge called Rob Bottin because he had already promised to do An American Werewolf in London with John Landis. I am pretty sure he just gave Rob Bottin advice on the make up work but didn't get physically involved.

American Werewolf is so very good. Baker's best work. (And Jenny Agutter IS hot!) I saw the world premiere of the great documentary that is on the BluRay. Lots of folks were there--Landis, David Naughton...effects and make-up guys Greg Nicotero and Tom Savini were there to pay homage.

rick baker's work on the howling was incredible. To this day I can't think of a better werewwolf on screen than that.

Baker is one of those guys who changed movies forever by raising the bar. He truly deserved his seventh Oscar.

Everybody always credits Rick Baker with The Howling even though he only served as a consultant to his protege Rob Bottin who is responsible for the make up work.
Also, there is absolutely no way that his work can be compared to Rick Baker's in An American Werewolf in London.
Not that I take The Oscars seriously but they had to invent a new category because of how amzingly good Rick Bakers work was in AWIL.
I would also like to add, that at one point during the werewolf se..x scence (The Howling) they even resorted to a cartoon. That is sheer laziness IMO and made it look ridiculous.
The Howling...thumbs down for me...the movie sucked and the effects were average.

Well maybe better than average, but as Landis puts it. They end up looking like Poodle werewolves.
Rob Bottin has gone onto do some fine work though.
