Blastfighter is italian action/vigilante flick directed by Lamberto Bava.
I remember seeing it when i was a kid but donīt recall that much about the actual movie.

Blastfighter is finally going to be released on dvd in scandinavia this spring
and i just canīt wait!

Any fans here?

Finally got the Blastfighter dvd yesterday and i watched it right away.

Last time i saw this was some 25 years ago when we watched the cut Finnish VHS tape.
I remembered that cool gun and all those special shots it had.

Surely this movie is a First Blood rip-off with some Deliverance thrown in
but itīs so darn entertaining.

It has a cool synth score, the main theme sounds like a Moroder tune.
The other theme is a tune called Evening Star written by the Gibb brothers (Bee Gees)
and performed by a group called Tommie Baby.

Itīs a sad and violent story so you love to see when Sopkiw finally blasts those small town idiots
with his sci-fi shotgun.

Another childhood memory refreshed!

aTomiK, you just gotta love any Lamberto Bava film with Michael Sopkiw (Doesn't this guy's name look like an eye test chart? And how exactly do you pronounce it in English? [Smile] ) and George "Anthropophagus" Eastman. And I love the Tarantino quote on the box too!
