"Rock 'n' Roll . . . It's a long way to the top"

Just bought and watched Thunder Alley.
It was a great Cannon group music drama directed by J.S. Cardone.

Richie is a small town (Tucson, Arizona) young man still living with his parents.
They have a farm but he wants to do something else.
Richie knows how to play guitar and his friend Donnie asks if he could join a melodic rock band called "Magic".
People love the new guy and the new songs but things start to go downhill very soon.
Fights, sex, drugs and rock'n'roll is the name of the game.
Will the band survive or will their rivals, heavy metal maniacs "Surgical Steel" beat them at the Rainbow festival?
It´s your job to find out!

The cast is very good:

Magic:

Richie, guitar and vocals: Roger Wilson
Donnie, keyboards: Scott McGinnis
Skip, vocals: Leif Garrett
Butch, bass: Phil Brock
Wolf, drums: Brian Cole

Always pretty Jill Schoelen plays Richie´s girlfriend Beth.
Randy Polk is the sleazy Palace club owner/manager "Fatman"
and Clancy Brown is great as his goodhearted right hand "Weasel".

It was also great to see Racer X singer Jeff Martin in this one,
Surgical Steel was a real band but they never made an album.

There´s some nice tunes in the movie but sadly no soundtrack album.
