Trailer:

I saw an old VHS copy of this film at a rummage sale and immediately bought it. I remember watching this movie so much as a kid that I wore the tape out. Sure, there are alot of flaws in this film. For example: the special effects are very primitive and very dated for it's time. The fight sequences are...well..let's just say I've seen more believable battle scenes in grade school plays. And the acting is horrendous. But this movie, for some unbeknownst reason, still holds a certain charm that keeps me watching. Even today I can sit and watch this terrible movie all the way through and feel good about it. Though naturally it doesn't captivate me as much as it did when I was a kid.

So for anyone who has not seen this little lost gem and likes family fantasy films..I say give it a chance. You will either love it or hate it. There's really no in-between on this one.

Pyromantic, have you tried Amazon.com?

I saw that there are some "Wizards of the Lost Kingdom 2" on VHS there.

I have both VHS's and a long time ago I put both onto a single DVD.

I recently got a 2nd, more powerful PC and am right now digitising a pile of 80s films to then run through noise filters to clean the picture then encode to DVD:

Stranded
Terminus
Wimps
Doin' Time on Planet Earth
Space Raiders
Frog Dreaming (aka The Go Kids, aka The Quest)
Hot Paint
Plain Clothes
Collision Course (Jay Leno & Pat Morita...?!)
The Wild Pair
Daredreamer
Hamburger...The Motion Picture
The Night Train to Kathmandu (early Milla Jovovich)
Something Special aka Willy/Milly
...and any more I can dig out of my stockade of VHS tapes & a few laserdiscs, which aren't on DVD already

Going to see how many I can drop on my PC before I get bored/fed up [Smile]
