Just watched Nightforce.
This time itīs not Linda whoīs in trouble.
Itīs her friend, the senatorīs daughter, whoīs kidnapped.
Linda and her college friends set up a rescue team
and because the government canīt help they head to central america on their own.

Directed by Lawrence D. Foldes (he did also a movie called Young Warriors which i would like to see)
Starring Linda Blair, James Van Patten, Richard Lynch, Chad McQueen,
Dean R. Miller, James Marcel and Claudia Udy.

Yes, itīs very stupid, silly flick but oh, so entertaining.
The score is pretty nice and Linda Blair herself performs the theme song
(quite good tune actually)

You can see the trailer here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j-yobieWYD4

Atomik,

this plot reminds me of another film

Toy Soldiers (1984)
with Tim Robbins and a lot of other 80s stars (wink)

Toy Soldiers

I got the DVD for like $ 1 on amazon.

Linda Blair sure got a lot of work in the 80s.

i've just this past few weeks watched toy soldiers http://youtu.be/bdljH7RfpnU (1984),purchased it on a budget dvd here in the uk a couple of year back, second time i've watched it and for just Ģ1 uk pound i'd say overall it was well worth the purchase,no classic that's for sure but has a good cast -jason miller (the exorcist)as an ex marine ,a very young tim robbins, cleavon little and tracy scoggins, not much in the way of real thrills but has a sleazy feel to it,teens getting drunk & frolicking about, nudity, torture and bad acting(very much like nightforce) to make for quite a trashy fun nights viewing.one thing i did notice was it has the exact same music score as the young warriors which as atomik mentioned was from lawrence d. foldes who also directed nightforce which has a similar plot to toy soldiers, there's a connection there somewhere! atomik if you've not yet seen the young warriors see if you can get your hands on it,i reckon you would most probably like it! it's one of my favourites hence my forum name the young warrior!

Iīve been searching Young Warriors for a long time.
The Finnish VHS tape is pretty rare and no dvd releases.

I need to order the ī84 Toy Soldiers dvd from the UK.

wish i knew how to rip a vhs to dvd i'd burn you a copy of mine atomik,i've got the original uk vhs release in great condition but it is cut by 10 seconds,it turns up on ebay uk for reasonably cheap from time to time but i'd think i'd hang out for a finnish tape as chances are it would be uncut! toy soldiers is worth getting but only on the cheap,it's not one i think you'll be completely blown away by but it's entertaining enough and if you can get the dvd cheap enough i'd say go for it!

The director of "Nightforce" and "Young Warriors" was this guy Lawrence D. Foldes who was trumpeted in the trade papers at the time as a boy genius because he directed a film--"The Great Skycopter Rescue" (1978)--at age 19. At 19 or not, one thing is for sure: Foldes was an absolutely terrible director. But if you want real fun, a film that just missed the 80s, only produced by Foldes but bearing his fingerprints, "Malibu High" (1979) is a must-see. It was the most preposterously bonkers thing I'd seen in a long time. Dig this summary from imdb.com:

"When a high school senior is dumped by her boyfriend, her grades fall drastically...to avoid failing, she begins seducing her male teachers. Thus begins her downward spiral into drug addiction and prostitution, and ultimately assassinations for a kingpin mob boss."

Yep, that's right--from high school student to hooker to hit woman, all in seemingly a matter of weeks. I was simulataneously laughing out loud and rubbing my eyes. Check it out, gang.

So this is why Young Warriors is aka The Graduates of Malibu High [Smile]

Anyway, Malibu High sounds fantastic [Cool]

This dude also co-wrote the all-white Coffy remake Lovely But Deadly which is also on my wanted list.

Excellent, aTomiK! Foldes did write "Lovely But Deadly," which is absolutely hilariously bad too.
Lovely But Deadly

I'm glad to see another fan of the nutty "Malibu HIgh," Young Warrior. [Smile] I have it in a Crown International box set along with "Trip with the Teacher," which isn't bad. It has a good turn by Zalman King as the lead psycho kidnapper. King, of course, went on to do lots of softcore porn, "Wild Orchid" and the cable series "Red Shoe Diaries."

You haven't lived--or laughed as hard--until you see "Lovely But Deadly" where Lucinda Dooling, with rippling biceps, shoves marijuana down a guy's throat and hops from table to table in a school in the worst choreographed martial arts fight in a movie. The whole thing is just so much fun and memorable that I once nicknamed a co-worker "LBD" because she's lovely...but deadly. ROFL
