This thread is in no way referencing that I want to replace actors or characters from the beloved movie "The Breakfast Club", but instead this is a fun exercise in exploring the possibilities of 'what if?'. I think Judd Nelson and Anthony Michael Hall were the perfect choices. I wouldn't replace either of them. But Tom Cruise as Andrew would have definitely topped Emilo. Molly Ringwald isn't the best choice for a snobbish school princess since she plays the every-girl role much better. So maybe Demi Moore would have been the better choice there. Ally Sheedy was fine as Allison, but if I was casting for that role she probably wouldn't have come to mind as a good candidate so I would have gone with someone like Winona Ryder, or if she was too young in '85, maybe Gina Gershon.
