Hi all...I'm new around here...I've been searching high and low for a movie I watched as a kid. I remember alot of parts from it, but can't get a good search engine on it, or even something close to the title of the movie. Here are my memories...
The movie involves a young girl whom dresses as a boy and hangs out with this boy group and participates in a "summer talent show???" with them in their boy rock band. However she also participates in the same "summer talent show???" with some of her girl friends and they do a dance of some sort, but they wear tye dye clothes. In the number line of performances the girls group goes first then the boys, and she is discovered as a girl during or after the set cause her tye dye girl clothes start slipping through her rocker boy outfit. In the end of it all, she's able to sing with the boy band as a girl infront of "everyone at the show???" if I'm correct. Also during the movie while dressed as a guy she almost accidentally walks into the girls bathroom while the kids hangout in some food place. She also spray paints her bike red (not sure if it was a brand new bike given to her from family, but the colour was girly, hence why she spraypainted it). She was living I think with a relative during the summer time, as no one knows either the real new girl in town, or the new disguised boy. If I'm correct she also sings with the band as a disguised boy before she is found out.
If anyone knows this movie please tell...lol...I'm certain it was around 80's time as the quality, and style of film being produced seemed around that time. It could've been earlier, but I doubt it was in the 90's.

oh yeah the challengers. It was one of my favorite movies when I was a kid. She just moved to the town with her mother. Her land lord lived in a trailer in her drive way. I was very young when that movie came out. I used to think the challengers were so bad ***. LOL. One of the reasons I took up the piano growing up..

Does anyone know the name of a movie where a guy is dared/bribed by his friends to date and propose to three woman at the same time? He has to video each proposal and ends up falling in love with one of the girls. I think he proposes to her out in the woods??

Does anyone know the name of the movie that had a kid in prison and he went to a dance with a girl in a catholic school, they fell in love and then ran away from jail? it was like a dance between the jail and the catholic school, the girl had blone hair and the guy had dark hair. it used to be on HBO alot when i was growing up

the movie is called FIRE WITH FIRE starring Virginia Madsen and Craig Scheffer. Excellent movie!
