I watched a two part drama years ago (late 80's/early 90's) with Andrew McCarthy where in it he was going to marry a blond girl who he had been with for years and then he fell for a girl in a local department store who I am sure was Sarah Jessica Parker. Other things that happened were his mother dying, his older prodical brother turning up and eventually he married SJP and they live happily ever after.
Can anyone please remember what it was called and if it is available anywhere?

Fresh Horses. The girl was Molly ringwald, not SJP.

No it's definitely AM as me and my friend love him and I could have sworn it was SJP too. I will watch Fresh Horses anyway as it sounds like a really good film and if you are right I will let you know.

Hello 'PS Its Paul' if you're still there? I watched Fresh Horses and it definitely wasn't it. I didn't really like it. It certainly wasn't his best film. Any other suggestions. Do you know if AM has a fan club still ha ha!
