I just now got confirmation that my pre-order (through this site)from Amazon.com has shipped Night Of The Comet [Big Grin]

& Private School (Pheobe Cates, Matthew Modine)

yep, i watched night of the comet and solarbabies last night on dvd. i still need to get private school though...

now, i am waiting for harry and the hendersons & summer school coming out this summer on dvd [Smile]

That's cool that you got them through Amazon. I did think about doing that but the impatient part of me needed to have them in my hand on Tuesday and I was afraid something would go wrong and I wouldn't get them or they'd be back ordered or something. In any event, it's just good that we
are finally able to own these titles and watch them with nice clear picture and sound [Smile]

I cannot believe that these are finally available. I am also waiting for Harry and the Henderson, my son loves that one too. He cried at the end of it!

I heard that there weren't any extras or anything on Night of the Comet, but now is the quality???

right you are jess. no extras, and not even a dvd insert with chapter titles!!! i know i am being picky, but it's just the idea of waiting so long for these movies to get a dvd release and no extra special stuff, like valley girl had. it had loads of special features!

but i'm happy to have the movies, regardless [Smile]

I received mine this week and finally had a chance to view them today (played hookey from work). Very disapointed to see no extras on either one but still great to have them on dvd.
Kelli Maroney (cheerleader in NotC) stopped by my band site on Myspace and mentioned that she had been trying so hard to get the rights to release it. Thom Eberhardt (writer/director) gave her a supporting letter but they wouldn't do it. She would have had a 'ton' of extra's stuff on it. Oh well, still a nice way to spend a Friday afternoon away from work. [Wink]
