What do you think of Steve Martin's noir send up where he has his scenes intercut with classic noir actors? It seems a little too disjointed, but it was a worthwhile idea to try.

It would have been hard NOT to be disjointed when so many classic clips needed to be integrated. But for me it fits together really well.
It's Steve Martin's masterpiece. Best of it's kind, best thing he's ever done. Different from anything else you'll see anywhere. Classic.

It was on TV the other night but I didn't get to watch it. I remember liking it back when it came out.

I only got to see part of it, but it had some classic lines.
"He was clinging to me like fat on a mother-in-law."
"I was going to kiss her with every lip on my face."
