Hmmm...let's see if anyone can find this movie title for me cause i've been going CRA-ZY trying to myself!

It's the story about a guy and a girl. They are -obviously- nerds but decide to change their luck by disguising themselves as foreign students (i think the girl changes her name to Francesca and the guy goes too often to the tanning salon). It could be a Disney flick but...i don't remember....HELP! ANYONE!!!

It does seem like it (the plots seems about right), besides, it WAS on t.v. when i saw it... Thank you!! But i'll check some more just in case!

I could tell you that it was GOOD (entertaining really) but the truth is, i haven't seen it in about 20 years! (ouch!) so if anyone checks it out tell me some, i'd love to know!

F.
p.s. thanks again!

It's quite a good film. Disney made a bunch of 'teen' films in the late 80's, each with an interesting (ish) premise. Most of them were surprisingly entertaining. Student Exchange is the best of the bunch (it also features a young Maura Tierney of ER fame!)

Another few:

'14 Going On 30'

'Double Switch'

'Young Again'

I've got the Double Switch VHS and Student Exchange was on my eBay email notification list for a while but I lost interest in getting a copy. 14 Going On 30 kinda rings a bell, will have to try and get that too.
I'll have to revive that interest because I've 'gotten back into 80s films', if such an interest can ever be gotten out of, because I've found a friend who loves Pretty In Pink and all those type of film and there's a bunch she hasn't seen yet (like Some Kind of Wonderful & Sixteen Candles!!)
