I just was looking up Sudden Impact...and I recognized a few of the cops in it from other movies...the one cop was in The Enforcer-it was Bradford Dillman- he was in Piranha too...that's where I knew him from...I was shocked that he's the same age as Clint eastwood now-76.

I was also shocked that Pat Hingle was still alive-he's 82 years old, he's another actor...that as soon as you see him, you know him from other movies...and those are really who I like in the movies...they are the people that maybe they weren't the packaged deal- with the looks and all that- but they were really good actors, and they did movie after movie, people just don't remember their names.

Is there anyone you can think of who has been in tons of movies...that you don't think people would know who they were if you said their name??

Brion James. He was a character actor who was in over 150 movies and tv shows. He died in 1999.
He's one I recognize in a lot of movie. He's usually a thug.
He was the 1st android they gave the test to in Blade Runner who ended up killing the tester. He was also the military guy who gave Bruce Willis his orders in The Fifth Element.
He played a Texas Rocket Ranger alongside Lou Ferrigno in Frogtown II.

Another favorite of mine is Roy Barcroft who was in over 350 movies from the 30's to the late 60's. He usually plays a bad guy and pops up mostly in westerns and serials. He's fought everyone from Flash Gordon to Zorro. He's worked alongside the Green Hornet and **** Tracy. This guy had steady work as a character actor. He was one of the best.

Larry Hankin, whom I see around, often as a burnt-out loser (although also most notably as part of the Shermer P.D.'s missing person's squad, illustrating how it needs an overhaul on it's protocol for children left behind) comes to mind Michael Gough also comes to mind for various works over the years, including, surprisingly, the voice of Gopher to go with the 80s/90s Alfred Pennyworth and other smaller roles. And Ben Stein once did belong to this group as well before he became famous and known all over America, that is.

Yea, Riptide. That Chineese guy shows up in all sorts of stuff. I remember he was in Die Hard! I saw him on a tv show years ago called Blade In Hong Kong and I've seen him in a lot of '80s action movies too.
