I had a bizarre experience last night whilst in the pub....I was standing waiting to be served whilst wearing my molly ringwald breakfast club t-shirt...when some grey haired bloke at the bar started shouting "Oh my god the breakfast club" over and over....and "I love that film"..."oh my god that's made my night" ...."look the breakfast club" he made the all the bar staff and half the pub look at my t-shirt...shook my hand..had his photo taken with me and went in great detail about how he had cried at the bit where Emilio talks about taping the guys butt cheeks together.....the whole thing went on for 10 minutes straight til my friend managed to drag me away.

I wasnt expecting that...but ...it made this big bloke practically cry???!!!

Eighties power my friends! [Cool]

This is more the lost power of the shirt.....I was out tonight in my I heart Jake Ryan t-shirt, in my sleepy home town where I am here for the weekend visiting my mum...and every single person asked me who Jake Ryan was, and what sixteen candles was...and when I tried to explain...they all asked who Molly Ringwald was?????...then looked at me as if I was a big crazy nut job.....I knew there was a reason I moved away [Roll Eyes]

Earth Angel stop trying to communicate with the outside world, it will only depress you. Stay in the Rewind with the cools that know Jake Ryan now lives in PA and makes great furniture. [Wink]

Also, when they start ask what size straightjacket you wear...Run! [Big Grin]

You are so right...what was I thinking.....I talk to you guys so much that I just assume everyone knows what I'm talking about now, and expect people to think an I love Jake Ryan t-shirt is cool....when in the real world....it just kinda makes me a big geekathon with a strange obsession...when will I learn???

AWWWW YES The powers of an 80s theme tee-shirt does tend to cause some stares [Eek!] out in public but it is cool to have a shirt that a million people don't already have. I LOVE wearing tee-shirts that has pictures of movie scence, the front covers of the movie, movie stars, etc. I have a friend who has a silk-screening tee-shirt shop called Game Killers just bring him a photo and he would put it on any color tee-shirt you wont. That's where i get all my SCARFACE shirts i have a different shirt for every day of the week. And when ever i wear one in public someone always ask me where i got that shirt from and can they have one too. But sometime i forget that i have a SCARFACE tee on and i will go to the bank and the security officer will look at me all strange. And then there's the Fast Times At Ridgemount High tee i have with the front cover of the old Fast times dvd. I get at lot of "Check out that shirt" and "I remember that movie with Sean Penn".

Here is a list of my tee's some movies are past & present:

Al Pachino/Scarface-With At least 10 different scenes from the movie.

GOODFELLAS-front cover picture of the DVD/VHS with.

BLOW-front cover picture of the DVD.

Fast Times At Ridgemount High-front cover picture of the old DVD

The Usual Suspects-picture of all the stars from the movie in a police line-up

JOHN GOTTI(RIP)-picture of MR. GOTTI on the front page of the New York times.

Charlie Mason-But promised my mother i would'nt where that shirt anymore and i hav'nt

THE CLASH-picture of the front cover of the Combat Rock album.

WOW I have really rambled on & on about shirts sorry [Frown]
