The blue smoke escaped from my Betamax machine [Frown] [Frown]

But at least I still have 2 more machines and can use the dead one for spare parts (it was one of two identical machines) [Big Grin]

Having it die on me has made me realise I ought to put those rare shows onto DVD, including 4 episodes of The Paul Hogan Show and the first ever Red Nose Day.

Speaking of 80s types that have passed on...

I don't know if anyone here is a wrestling fan, and I don't even know if the team was around in the 80s, but Hawk of the Road Warriors team died over the weekend in his sleep.

Just figured I'd point that out.

Sincerely,

John Kilduff...The Rock Steady Flamethrower

Devolution here,

Note to self, don't become a wrestler, unless you want to die by 50.

I was a huge Road Warriors fan.

We are DEVO

also, on people of the 80's dying..I was thinking of song titles under the game post, and for a V- I thought of Vienna Calling, by Falco, and someone had already wrote an answer, but I heard Rock Me Amadeus of the radio Saturday night, that was a classic 80's song, and I remember that I heard Falco had been hit by a car and killed, like maybe 1 year ago, did anyone else know that?

I heard he had a head-on collision with a bus, but I think it's been about 2-3 years already since his death.

Yes, it was very sad about Hawk of the Road Warriors. I saw this match once where he filled in for someone at the last minut to fight Rick Flair. They fought one of the best matches I ever saw. Unfortunately , it was one of those untelevised things. The best tag team ever.
