I just wondered if anybody remembers The Highwayman tv-series starring Sam Jones (from Flash Gordon).

The series was originally produced late '87 till early '88 and was another Glen A. Larson production.
It aired here in Holland right after they cancelled Knight Rider.
However, The Highwayman apparently had only 10 episodes, so it was over before anybody really noticed the series.
It practically vanished without a trace ever since.

Wikipedia describes it as a cross between Knight Rider and Mad Max.

I remember watching this in the late 80's, though it's hard to remember anything specific
other than the truck with a helicopter as the cabin.

It could very well be that i still have it on VHS somewhere in the attic.

This show was on TV late at night (about 11pm-01am) when I was at school. I have really strong memories of it because it was one of the shows that started prompting me stay up late because all the 'good' TV seemed to be on then (along with things like 'The Equalizer' and 'Midnight Caller'). Unfortunately, staying up late became a bad habit and it's one I've never broken (the last two years of my school career I was lucky to get 5 hours sleep a night). I associate this show with that slide. Then again, puberty started happening at the same time, so maybe I'm blaming the wrong thing...

Haha, gotta love that truck [Smile]

Jane Badler (Diana from "V") as the lady lead? Excellent!

I donīt think that they aired this show here but would love to see all the episodes!

Here's a way cooler, longer version of the intro, which is followed by the climax of the
pilot episode, if i remember correctly :

Now that intro almost makes it sound poetic !
And don't forget : It's in stereo, where available ! [Big Grin]
