Anyone looking for newer music that sounds '80s? I discovered a Swedish group (that sings in English) called "The Sounds" a few years ago. Their song "Hurt You" was on a Geico commercial. Also "Walk The Moon" has a song they play on 102.5 here called "Shut up And Dance" that has that feel.

This band has been around since the early 2000s. So not really brand new. But they definitely have the 80's Glam Rock look and sound down to a T.

If you like early Depeche Mode, check out a Swedish group ELEGANT MACHINERY.

A lot of Lady Gaga's music actually sounds very '80's-ish.

The Birthday Massacre springs to mind because they are one of my favorite throwback bands. Their sound is a mix of 80's Darkwave and Gothic/Electronic Rock. I don't even know if you can consider them new anymore though because they've been around since early 2000.
