"Lisa Blount, an actress and Oscar-winning producer who introduced herself to moviegoers as Debra Winger's friend in the classic film 'An Officer and a Gentleman,' was found dead at her home near Little Rock, Arkansas, on Wednesday. She was 53."
Besides An Officer and a Gentleman, i remember her very well from the movies Radioactive Dreams and Prince of Darkness. She made a stellar performance especially in the Carpenter flick Prince of Darkness.
I think that i´m going to watch it tomorrow to honor her memory.

I just watched parts of an Officer and a Gentleman a few days ago on tv. Do they know the cause? She must not have been acting anyone more to move back to Arkansas huh? sad.

Without googling, I think I saw a headline that said she was suffering from a physical disorder for the last few years.
