It appears the ‘Dirty Dancing’ star will be putting on her dancing shoes 23 years after her iconic role as Frances ‘Baby’ Houseman!
It looks like the cast for the new season of Dancing With The Stars is filling out well before ABC’s public announcement on Aug. 30, as it has just been reported that Jennifer Grey and Margaret Cho would be joining the reality program. EOnline reports, “Margaret Cho and actress Jennifer Grey are also among the celebrities who will be tangoing across the DWTS floor this year.”
Jennifer and Margaret will be joining a cast that is said to include Rick Fox, Michael Bolton, Audrina Patridge, Mike ‘The Situation’ Sorrentino, Brandy, Florence Henderson, David Hasselhoff, and the one and only Bristol Palin.
Producers had long hoped to snag Dirty Dancing actress Jennifer as well as her costar Patrick Swayze before he lost his battle with pancreatic cancer in September of 2009. ~ Source E!
First of all.. can you believe Jennifer Grey is actually 50? Mathmatically it makes sense, but she always seemed so young to me.
I've watched DWTS off and on through the years, but not much lately. This announcement will make me at least check it out again.

hey val, i didn't know you watch this show? i watch every season. i am looking forward to seeing Kurt Warner! and though i am not really a Jennifer Grey fan, i think it will be nice to see her on the show, because she hasn't really been in the spotlight for a while now. i did not know she was 50, wow, she looks great.
what do you think of her changing her nose? it definitely made her look almost unrecognizable.

I definitely try to watch it when I can.. not a must see every week anymore, but still draws my attention once the show gets going.
I actually have no issue with Jennifer Grey changing her nose.. I thought she looked great afterwards though unrecognizable like you mentioned. I even watched her short lived sitcom .. "It's Like, You Know"

Her face was so uniquely hers-the nose job changed her appearance SO much-she looked like a completely different person. I remember seeing an interview where she had to show id to prove it was really her.

I agree, but I think it's a bit unfair to the other contestants, because The Hoff actually has musical stage experience, as did Donny Osmond. The Hoff was in the revival version of "The Producers" in Las Vegas a few years ago.
BTW, Florence Henderson has Broadway stage experience, so she might go far this season.

I thought Jennifer Grey had a great first dance of the season. Highest score of the night.
The rehearsal footage and performance were incredibly emotional.. she danced to a tune from "Dirty Dancing"..
It brought a tear to my eye when she broke down about Patrick Swayze.

I LOVE Jennifer Grey. I didn't think they were going to start her off on a song from the Dirty Dancing movie until later on, like they did with Kelly Osbourne and her dad's song Crazy Train. Kyle Massey is doing wonderful for a young adult who is big for his age. Keep it up!

If you are a fan of "Dirty Dancing" and Jennifer Grey .. I just hope that you are watching DWTS. Her performance this week was incredible.

it must be tough dancing with derek. he is crazy fast! every season, i tend to feel bad for the person that gets casted with him, because he's so intense with the choreography. poor jennifer is always in need of oxygen after every performance. she just might win here... brandy does pretty well too, so does audrina.
