I am so sick of winter.

Today it was 54 degrees, but now it is cold again.

I have spring fever so bad, I feel like I am going to just explode...because I have so many things I want to be doing, but the weather is yucky.

Today I did an interview with the newspaper for our Easter Egg Hunt. I went around to businesses and picked up some awesome prizes to give away. I can't wait.

I put an Easter screensaver on my computer.

I am decorated for St. Patrick's Day.

Tomorrow I am starting to walk at the park every day....I hate walking in the cold.

I have to go to a tea party on Saturday with the garden club, and I have to wear a goofy hat....my friend gave me one- cause I don't own hats...and it looked like Molly Ringwald's hate in Pretty in Pink.

Anyone else have spring fever???

This year I have a few mixed emotions of spring fever, been doing a lot of outddor skating and hockey so a little reluctant to give that up, but the winters here are harsh and everybody could use some relief.

We are supposed to get between 9-15 inches of snow by tomorrow night. This sucks!

Posted by MotleyRulz (Member # 3598) on :

I remember being out for up to 7 days once because of snow in elementary school and that's a big deal for North Carolina. It just doesn't snow here like it used to. The climate goes in cycles but it's odd how it can be 70 here this past Thursday like it was and 33 for a high today. I think some of that is what makes folks sick. They are calling for 8 inches of snow here tonight. It's already been sleeting and starting to snow as I type this. I'm glad I'm off tomorrow lol. Tomorrow will probably be one of those lazy days, all day movie watching kinds of deals for me. I love snow but they can have the ice..........

North Dakota is very much ready for spring.

March always means two things

*preseason baseball
*March Madness. Really hoping the North Dakota State Bison can win the Summit Conference tournament and qualify for the big dance. If they should happen to qualify they will be the first school in over 30 years to qualify for the big dance in their first year of eligibility. At the very worst they have already qualified for the NIT since they were the regular season champions in the Summit Conference. The NIT is nice but I'd rather see them make the final 64 and be like a #14 seed and be a sacrificial lamb for somebody like Louisville or some other powerhouse. No matter what happens from here they've already had a great season and their record as of now is 23-6. Very doubtful they would get an at large bid since they're not from a major conference.

It seems like the Mountaineers ONLY ever make it to the NIT, if that. We'll see about this year.

Spring for me means (hopefully) no snow and not having to worry as much about sliding all over the road (unless it's wet, dusty or gravelly).

Lousy Smarch....

Summer is over! On the calendar anyway. It's still bloody hot, and tomorrow is going to be extreme - winds up to 150kmh. Most schools across the state are closed tomorrow in case there are any new fires, or the current ones flare up in the conditions.

We had a "dusting" this morning. I'm glad that it wasn't more.

We got a nice foot or so over night. Good news is I didn't have to go into work today. Bad news is I'll be shoveling tons of snow today!

Posted by MotleyRulz (Member # 3598) on :

Woke up to six inches of snow this morning don't laugh people of the north lol. That's the most significant snowfall we've had in 5 years.......

Snowing pretty good here now at the moment. Still, Phil DID see his shadow last month, so one pretty much has to expect one last gasp of winter.

I didn't get any snow.

I was planning my day around the weather, so now I am all goofed up.

I am so sick of cold weather. The last 2 nights were bitter cold.

I am so ready for spring.

The days seem to fly by, except the last few weeks until spring is officially here...those days seem to drag on forever.

This weekend it is suppose to be in the 50's here, but raining.

sorry everyone.

Don't be so greedy Ronnie. Send 10 degrees up this way so you can still be in the 70s and we might get above freezing [Smile]

Posted by MotleyRulz (Member # 3598) on :

We can't complain here it's 45 now which feels like summer compared to the past couple of days. Next three days are supposed to be in the 60-70 degree range........

I'm like a walking heating pad so I typically don't mind the cold too much...but gotta say...gettin pretty sick of the foul weather. We've been getting alot of snow, then a mild day with rain....then a cold day...equals....a whole friggin lot of ICE. Roads and driveways are a mess and I'm really looking forward to the Spring. Isn't it this weekend when the clocks jump ahead? It will be nice to still see some light at 7-8 PM....

well, the fall, winter and spring here are great. it's the summer i have a hard time with, even at the age of 30... been here all my life.

115 degree weather for almost 5 months is no fun.

sometimes it's hotter, sometimes it's around 105 - 109 and you can feel the difference, if so.

it's funny, because i can take a 2 hour drive to flagstaff, arizona and it's snowing. weird.

It is beautiful here right now. I did about a billion things this morning, and it was so nice out. It is suppose to be almost 70 here on Monday. I can't wait to start seeing tiny green leaves on the trees soon.

after a couple days of 40 degree weather we're back in the teens today with a cold north wind. We are slowly losing our snow cover though.

Mission accomplished. NDSU is going to the big dance as Summit Conference player of the year Ben Woodside hits a jumper with 3.3 seconds left to give the Bison a 66-64 victory over Oakland(MI). Will find out Sunday who they play in the first round of the NCAA.

It is beautiful out right now, I have the windows open. It was nice out when we walked today. Didn't even need a jacket.

My daffodils and other bulbs are poking up out of the ground.

No favours given to the Bison as they'll be facing the defending champs and perenial national power Kansas Jayhawks in the first round.

it was a great weekend for a change here especially sunday it was 53 and sunny opened the windows and let the fresh air in and changed my curtains suppose to be in the 50's all week cooler on the weekend though but who care lol!!

Posted by Sammy Hain Invasion (Member # 3150) on :

We've been in the 40's for the past few days and sounds like we're supposed to stay there for a little while. Been nice to let some fresh air in my apartment. However with the huge amount of snow we've received this year and with a fast melt they're forecasting potentially record flooding in some areas. Hopefully the dikes will hold in Grand Forks so they don't have a repeat of 1997.

As expected the North Dakota State Bison lost their first round game to the Kansas Jayhawks by 10 points earlier today. The Bison were able to cut the lead down to three on a few occasions but were not able to get over the hump. Kansas had too much size in the middle for the Heard to handle. North Dakota State point guard Ben Woodside put on a show for the rest of the country and showed why he's one of the most underrated players in all of college hoops as he lit up Kansas with 37 points.
