Why do so many bad things happen at the same time? The plane crash and tornadoes in the USA, flooding and bushfires here... what's gonna happen next?

this is so very sad we have been watching it on the news here since last night, the house where this plane crashed is about 15 minutes or so from our house this plane was only a year old and now 49 people are confirmed dead. so very sad family members of the people on the plane were taken last night to the cheektowaga senior center here luckily 2 people in the house on long rd. where it crashed survived a mother and daughter were taken to the hospital with minor injuries a third person in the house died? not sure yet if it was the husband or boyfriend? it will be a few hours or so before they release the names of the people that died so very sad

Some other sad news, I guess one of the victims of the Buffalo crash was Beverly Eckhart a 9/11 widow. Is it just me, or has this been one of the worst weeks in a long time?

yes it is scary for sure three of the sabres players live within 5 miles of the crash there too and they were on the news describing what they saw last night too spacek, kalinin, and forgot the last one sorry brain freeze and yes beverly was coming home to celebrate her husband's birthday who passed in 9/11 so sad! this is definitely worse then antonio sanchez living behind me for years he was the man that raped 7-8 girls on the bike paths and killed one his wife still lives there with her son as far as i know scary stuff for sure they are looking into the causes of the crash now i did hear something about a gas leak which is sad as the plane was only a year old? i thought they checked these planes out before taking off? i also heard about a plane crash in london today but all the passengers got off safely i know i won't be flying anytime soon!!

I heard about it on the radio yesterday. That is so sad. Especially about the widow who lost her husband on 9-11. How much bad luck can one person have.
It says it was due to ice build up on the wings.
I can't imagine sitting in your house- and a plane comes crashing through it.
What a tragic event.

At first when I heard it, I thought it happened on Friday the 13th, but it was the night before...or it really would have been a bad luck day.

yes ice on the windsheild and wings of the plane they also stated on the news here this morning that the plane was on auto pilot which it should never have been? also among the people that died were 2 members of chuck mangione's band that were suppose to play with the buffalo philharmonic orchestra on friday night they had the concert last night and had a moment of silence for the people on the plane so tragic also alot of memorial masses set up today and monday for the people lost in this tragic accident.

Tragic stuff like this really makes me stop and realize how fragile life really is, and how it can change in an instant. Stay safe everyone.
buffalo-girl, hearing that the plane crashed only 15 minutes from your house really makes this tragedy resonate even more.

i agree valley you just never know!! they said on the news last night it will take at least a week to remove the plane and parts from the scene right now they are still recovering the bodies and putting the names with the faces on the news so very sad to see all these wonderful people gone! they also arrested 2 more people yesterday for trying to get near the crash one was videotaping these people need to realize they have to stay away and let everyone do their job some people are just so ignorant i am glad they are arresting them! they had to close the road again yesterday because of this!

yesterday it was a week since the plane crash and at 10;20 p.m. last night all the area churches rang their bells 50 times for the people lost in this crash . there is also a couple stores here that are selling buffalo t-shirts and all the money raised is going to the wielinski family whose house was crashed into by the plane the web site for it is called one city one heart.com the store is about ten minutes from my house so hubby and i are going to buy some shirts tomorrow as it is for a excellent cause

the site is all cleaned up and the people have returned to long st. to their homes it is very strange to see a big bare spot where the house use to be?
