I just was reading on the 80s Trivia cards that Michael J. Fox had a stalker who sent him 6,000 letters and a box of rabbit droppings and demanded he leave his wife Tracy Pollan.

I hadn't heard of that one.

But, I looked up a few...and this is why it wouldn't be fun to be famous:

There's a difference in a sense of humor and someone trying to make every post a joke which 9 times out of 10 isn't funny......

Who asked you happiness??

You know a lot of people on here enjoy my sense of humour and my easy going ways, you two seem to be happiest talking about the worst in life. I've stopped responding or commenting on both of you, I suggest you do the same. Plenty of room in here for the three of us.. Or is there???

We all have senses of humor in that we laugh in something that's actually funny. Your obviously troubled as your rude, insensitive to others, and have ran others off. I'm not the one who comments on the worst in life you have me confused. You'll be doing good to find a handful of people on here who find you funny.........

And I thought this was going to be a thread about Rebecca Scheiffer...... [Eek!]

Don't forget about David Letterman. He's had a well publicized stalker for years.

Posted by Riptide (Member # 457) on :

Anne Murray, Madonna too. I guess it's one of the credentials that you've made it.

Posted by pettyfan (Member # 2260) on :

Anne Murray had a stalker?? Wow, who knew?

Posted by Riptide (Member # 457) on :

Yeah, insider stuff from down home. A farmer from Springhill to be exact. It went on for years. Comes in all shapes and sizes I guess.

With a very public meltdown, I wonder how many Chrisitan Bale stalkers are out there now? Yikes! He wouldn't bat an eyelash with that problem (no pun intended, unless you want it that way).

Wow...I missed all this...no wonder I was completely confused in another thread.

Riptide-Christian Bale is wound so tight...did you hear the recording they have of him ...screaming at a worker on the set of Terminator Salvation- it had something to do with a light bulb.....and he cursed at him, said the f-word every other word, and threatened him with bodily harm. The director of the movie stood up for him, and said that he had just finished shooting an intense scene, and someone said...how dramatic can it be- your talking the Terminator".

I think just about every celebrity out there has probably had a crazy stalker....

Heck, I have had them on the Rewind, and in real life too.

It's the ones that actually try and kill the person, or threaten to, or actually do it....

Like...Selena.

I don't understand that...if you are obsessed with the person, how could you stand that person being dead.

the problem that occured with bale, was because he was trying to do a scene and a crew member moved or walked by..and in the land of movie making it's a huge NO NO to do that.. and a crew member should know better than that.
i'm sure it would **** me off too..those crew members are supposed to be professionals at what they do. you don't walk around on set when an actor is shooting.
i don't agree that the rant should have gone on for minutes and minutes as it did.
but of course, everyone just thinks bale is a nutcase and didn't deserve to be angry at what happened.
his yelling and cursing about was extreme, but the other guy should have known better as well.

Thing is Bale is one of those actors that gets so engrossed in the role he's playing that he basically stays in character during the whole entire shoot whether he's on camera or not.

Posted by Ronnie (Member # 465) on :

i see your point sam. and in no way do i think threatening someone is right at all...
but i do see both sides of what happened in this particular case.

Jack you make me laugh....if that counts for anything

Posted by Riptide (Member # 457) on :

I know Bale has anger issues, but didn't he have some sort of spat with his mother and sister last year if I recall?

Posted by MotleyRulz (Member # 3598) on :

I heard the spat with his mom and sister was something over them wanting money. While I too see both sides to the issue, whoever pointed out Bale getting engrossed in his character was right on. From what I gather, someone walking across set while filming a scene is the equivalent of someone putting their hands on a wall that's just been painted: No No!

Well if your a really good actor, then you should be able to do it over again. Anything can happen at any time to break your concentration, and if you go nuts- then that certainly will break your concentration more than someone walking by during a scene.

Posted by MotleyRulz (Member # 3598) on :

How do you handle situations like this when your on the set?

Posted by ISIS (Member # 1780) on :

I scream get out of my face you ^&*^*&^*&^^%^%!

Posted by JAY LEE (Member # 6345) on :

Bale should lose the star trip, and be an actor instead.... man, get over yourself! Your doing a ****ing Terminator sequel.... It's not Schindlers list 2 or something!

Jay Lee-I actually was going to say the exact same thing, and say...he wasn't doing Schindler's List.

Do they really do movies anymore, that the acting is even relevant?

In Gran Torino, the 2 kids that play the next door neighbors-neither one of them had ever been in any other movie- they were not great- but compared to someone current...I think they did just as good.

I thought Christian Bale was terrible in The Dark Knight- he didn't really have to "act". He only says one liners the whole way through the movie. He did goof his lines up at the dinner table at the beginning- and they left it in the movie. They probably didn't want to ask him to do it again.

back on topic, ..anyone??

Posted by Kash (Member # 297) on :

Christian Bale is a legend. All we could say about him before was that he's a great actor, now we can say: he's a great actor and a lunatic. I don't blame him for getting upset but he took it a little too far. It's the funniest thing I've heard all week, though.

Bale usually works with directors who have auteur sensibilities, even on blockbusters like 'Shaft' 'Batman' or '3:10 To Yuma', but this is his most mainstream film to date and a lot of the people working on it understand the product better than they do the art.

Bale is a great actor and his weakness is a short fuse as is a lot of actors and actresses. I find it interesting that the question of movies being made where they even act anymore was brought up . What's even more interesting is Bale's performance in The Dark Knight is questioned when you consider the one bringing up the questions likes movies where little to no acting talent is required........
