We had a little birthday party here tonight, and had a bunch of kids...we got Dominos Pizza- I use to love their pizza, but not so much now. If I eat their pizza-I like that really thin crust pizza. I don't like many Pizza chains. Except when I was a kid there was a place called "Pappy's Pizza". It was awesome. They went out of business.

My favorite Pizza is from my hometown-there were tons of mom and pop type pizza places there , I had several favorites.

Oh...I do still like Fox's Pizza. But, I hardly ever get any-because there's not any near me.

I like plain cheese pizza, or pepperoni.

I had never tasted pineapple on a pizza until about 6 years ago, my friend said it was awesome, so I tried it. I actually liked it. But, I never ever remember to ever put it on pizza when I order it.

I hate mushrooms and black olives.

I have never tasted anchovies.

One of the best pizzas I ever ate was a Pierogie Pizza, it had mashed potatoes, cheddar cheese and onions on it.

My favourite pizza is the House Special at A&B Pizza. There's only three restaurants in the chain all located in Bismarck-Mandan.

The house special has sausage, pepperoni, mushrooms and green pepper.

I know I'm unoriginal, but pizza is by far my favorite food. I can, and have, eaten it for breakfast, lunch and dinner in the same day. I usually just have it plain with no toppings. I will eat any store brand pizza and order from any pizza place. There is an old saying, "pizza is like sex....even when it's bad, it's still pretty good." I agree with this motto.

I like Dominos. I like my pizza with everything on it and it has to have a thin crust.

I don't really like any of the pizza chains, although I remember eating at a Little Caesar's once when I was very young, and I liked it. Now, I just stick with mom and pop shops. One of the best in NYC is Bleeker Street Pizza.

My favorite topping is black olives.

Every now and again I will get Domino's, although for pizza, if you can believe it the best ones I have had come from these local family delis. You pass by these little family owned hole in the walls, and it's amzing that a lot of the best food comes from.

I get more frozen pizza than I used like Delissio, McCain Crescendo. I'm usually an all dressed pizza person, but I like mexican style as well.

Pizza Hut's my favorite chain restaurant; their formula tastes the best. Any meat topping is great, but pepperoni's my favorite. Independently, the local chain DiMaggio's also cooks up a great pie.

I love that you call them 'pies'.

My fave is a place called Gino's East. I only get it about once a year. But it is deep dish and HUGE. I get mushrooms, black olives and bacon. But when the pizza comes it looks funny because the sauce is on the top. So it goes crust, toppings cheese, sauce. Trust me, it may look like crap but it is wonderful!

Man, I really miss New Jersey/East Coast pizza. Most of the mom & pop pizza shops were OK. some were really good. I've always found family owned (Italian) pizza places are the best. They make the best subs too...

my favorite has to be Red Devil. i don't know if they are nationwide or what not.. but their pizza is YUMMY...traditional cheese only.
i also like peter piper pizza.. i get just pepperoni or a chicago classic with spices - mmmmmmmm [Razz]

when i want a pan crust pizza with everything on it, i order from pizza hut or dominos...but it's not often.

i wish more places here sold pizza by the slice instead of a pie. it would be nice to stop in somewhere and pick up a couple slices to go.

When I was kid , we use to love to go down town to this family owned Pizza place- just for 1 slice of cheese pizza and a Pepsi- It cost less than $2.00. We would ride our bikes downtown, and get pizza then we'd go play Pac-Man at G.C. Murphy's.

We always put garlic salt on our pizza then.

You could have a blast on $5.00 in the 80s. We'd go buy a 45 record, some candy, a piece of pizza and a drink and still play a couple games of Pac-Man.

I used to like the garlic sauce from Papa John's but I had a bad experience with it and a stomach virus. Ugh.

I remember going on dates in the 80s, I'd never get garlic or onions on anything. Fresh breath was a total priority...and I remember being such a goober on one of my first dates with my high school boyfriend- that I wouldn't eat anything, because I didn't want him to think I was a big pig- him and his brother ate an entire pizza in front of us-we just drank pop...then we were starving- my cousin was the one who actually told me not to eat- I don't know why I listened. Then we would get back to her house- and when they had gone home, we'd eat everything we could get our hands on.

I remember going on a date once, with a guy that I didn't like- (as a boyfriend-I thought we should be just friends, but he had a crush on me for a year, and my mom said I should just go out as friends with him, and double date with my friend and her boyfriend...so I told my friend I was going to eat a ton of onions on my salad, so he wouldn't try kissing me. (It didn't work)- but I thought I was being brilliant at the time.

There's a place where I grew up at called TJ's Zesty Italian. The place is now ran by a 4th generation Italian family. They have the best pizza of any I've ever eaten. I like pretty much anything on mine except for anchovies. My fave would probably be the pepperoni, ground beef, bacon, green pepper, and jalapeno special........

Anyone try or is a fan of Chicago deep dish pizza? I had it once, but it was just too many layers. Not a fan of thin crust pizza either.

Being a native New Yorker (and of Italian descent), Chicago deep dish is sacrelige around here. I have, however had it once or twice, and it's okay. I definitley don't love it - it's NYC thin crust all the way for me, baby!

What's Brooklyn pizza like? I see Domino's advertising it, and from the flyer it looked like pepperoni, cheese and thin crust. Have you had this SC?

I haven't had Domino's Brooklyn-style pizza, since I'm not too much of a fan of that chain, so I can't comment on flavor.

As far as "Brooklyn-style" pizza is concerned it's pretty much synonymous with "New York-style" pizza. Very thin and crispy, with a thin layer of tomato sauce topped with melted mozarella cheese. Sometimes grated sharp parmesean cheese is combined into the sauce. Toppings like pepperoni, mushrooms, etc., are totally optional. In fact, most people I know prefer plain pizza.

NOTE: Brooklyn-style pizza's crispy, thin crust is a must in terms of the pizza's "fold-ability", so it can be eaten like Tony Manero does in Saturday Night Fever.

We aren't setting the world on fire with our pizza here in Hawaii. The only place that makes a decent slice is a local chain called Boston's North End Pizza. Besides them the selection is pretty dismal. Bad enough that you do just as well ordering Papa John's or Pizza Hut, honestly. Among the big chains, Pizza Hut is definitely my favorite. I used to like Domino's better about 15 years ago, but they went into decline somewhere along the line. I also like funkier California style pizza once in awhile too, and for that I always hit up CPK (my favorite is the Thai Chicken).
