Apart from its disgustingly unique premise, I didn't find much to like about "The Human Centipede." It was, despite an entertaining performance by Dieter Lazer as the nutty doctor, a pretty plodding, badly written, badly acted, overall badly made affair. So I while I completely agree with you that I'm not going out of my way to see the sequel, I'm generally against film censorship. If folks want to waste an hour-and-a-half of their lives that they are not getting back, let 'em. Having said that, I have a box set of the Japanese "Guinea Pig" series (a series of equally depressing faux-snuff horror films that are even crummmier than "Centipede") that I am using as a doorstop because I can't give it away. And that was more than an hour-and-a-half of my life... ROFL [Smile]

You know that I liked the first Centipede [Razz] But even if I hadn't I absolutely despise banning fiction. Big enough and ugly enough to make my own mind up on what to watch.

Yes, yes they are. [Smile] Actually, the torture porn/snuff ones aren't the worst because the special effects are dicey, and some of the actors can't keep a straight face because it's all so ludicrous. The worst one--because of its exceedingly depressing atmosphere--is the one where a guy finds a mermaid (no, not the cool, scary mermaid of "She Creature") brings her home, and puts her in his bathtub. He loves her and cares for her, but she gets sick. Really sick. And that's pretty much all I can say here. If the filmmakers' plan was simply to disgust and depress, then it succeeds completely. Otherwise, entertainment value is nil.

Seemed like a good idea.

The second part of that was pure fiction, so... BANNED!
