and if so, was it good?

I went to see it last week. Thought the first half was great, some intense moments. But it all fell apart for me in the second half. It just all got a bit daft when it fell into the Poltergeist esque parts.

UPDATE: Yeah I agree. I wouldnt say the whole second half was bad, but it definatly was a bad ending.

I watched it with a bunch of 12 year olds so I had a blast listening to them scream and watching them jump. What a hoot!

No, but I wanted to. Guess I'll wait for it to come to Netflix

Devolution here,

I saw it last night with my wife. We thought it was excellent, but yes, it does tail off at the end. It's pretty intense a la Poltergeist, but let us never confuse these two movies. Poltergeist is just a better movie from beginning to end, Insidious was a great movie through the first 3/4.

I do recommend it though, it has more than it's fair share of moments.

I guess I liked this movie, but the plot wasn't great, IMO. It reminded me of Poltergeist, but it definitely wasn't nearly as good. Not sure I would bother with it again...

It is in my Netflix queue.. the "Poltergeist" references by Helen, Devo and Ronnie have me intrigued.

Looks scary on the previews. no?

Devolution here,

As I said before, maybe it was just hard for it to maintain the pace that it was on. That being said it's totally worth it to watch. A bunch of the Poltergeist combined with a little bit of the Exorcist.

Val, there are a lot of little things done in the movie to make you jump and get creeped out over, but I strongly agree with Devo and Helen, the end takes a dive. Hope you like it. The images tend to stick with you, just a bit, at least they did with me. [Eek!]

According to Netflix there is a "very long wait." So who knows when I'll get it?

My neice went on and on about loving this movie...but I think she loved it most because she somehow got into the theatre to see it with a friend...and felt she got away with something big. With what I'm reading from you guys....I'm now interested.
