I guess this would go best in this section, although I suppose it would also have worked in the 80s movies section as well. At any rate, how do you think Donner's vision compares to Richard Lester's? In the end, I'd have to give Donner the edge; not too much, since Lester's is still pretty good, but Donner at least maintains the existential note he struck in the first one and maintains the verisimilitude, in his own words, towards the character. What he does add works well, finally explaining convincingly how our hero gets his powers back, and his method of trying to prove Lois wrong about his identity when she "steps out for a minute" make for good--rather than forced--humor.

I've not seen this cut yet, but the 'Superman' silver tin box set is one of the best DVDs ever made.

unlike a lot of people I liked 'Superman Returns', even the IMAX 3D transfer was great; Singer went north of $280 but it still deserves a sequel IMO.
