"The C64 is back, this time full-sized with a working keyboard for the dedicated retro home-computer fan.

Featuring three switchable modes – C64, VIC 20, and Games Carousel.

Connect to any modern TV via HDMI for crisp 720p HD visuals, at 60 Hz or 50 Hz.

An updated joystick, now featuring micro switches, companions the hardware making the included games even more fun than ever.

The Games Carousel has 64 pre-installed games including classics such as California Games, Paradroid and Boulder Dash, with new additions like Attack of the Mutant Camels, Hover Bovver, Iridis Alpha, and Gridrunner.

Topped off with the recently released shoot ’em up Galencia and text adventure Planet of Death to let you relive the glory days of true keyboard gaming!
Plus, THEC64® allows you to load and save your own files and games via USB stick (including multi-disk titles) and program in C64 or VIC 20 BASIC."

Just recently received one of these.🎅

It's really just a software emulator (albeit a very good one!) in a Commodore 64 shell -- but it works really well.

It's a great way to get back into BASIC or Assembly coding.🤓 Or, of course, play your favourite C64 games.

Many purists are complaining, but if you're not prepared to pick up an original off eBay or check out the more expensive alternatives -- this is well worth picking up. [Smile]

Of course, you could just get hold of the emulator (VICE) -- for FREE, and run it on a spare computer, but where's the fun in that.

Typing away on this is most of the fun.

Ha ha ha. I remember learning BASIC in school. I hated it!

^ School sucks the enjoyment out of most things! Coding at home, at your own pace, with or without friends - best way to get the most out of this.

* Note to self: Take better pictures.

My dad's reaction on seeing this: "You're too young to be nostalgic.."

I'm 42.

I'm still having a lot of fun with this. Some of the games being produced are of incredible standards.

I got one too. It's the closest I'll have to a Commodore 64 now, (as I wouldn't find a CRT Television anywhere local haha), and you have 2 computers in 1, the Commodore 64 and the VIC 20.

This software house is releasing good new games for it http://www.psytronik.net/

[Big Grin] Excellent!

Same. I was on the fence for a long time about buying either a Breadbin or C64C. Never could pull the trigger. "TheC64" is good enough for me.

I'm sure you're aware of the upcoming Amiga Mini -- really hoping for a Maxi version.🤞
