lets get it going. I grew up with friends like these and its such a shame they are not around anymore, some of them married with children, some of them still call and unfortunatley some of them are no longer with me. RIP charlie, Chloe and vanessa.

I didn't watch it a whole lot, but liked it when I did. The Joe ****er song in the beginning, the best friend Paul, and Winnie-the girl next door.

The older brother was the worst-always remember him best as the bratty paper route kid that had Pee Wee's bike [Smile]

That is hilarious! Lovin' the censorship [Smile]

yeah I watched the Wonder Years all the time. A friend of mine had an older brother a lot like Wayne. It was fun to get him riled up and then run for it!

Why doesn't Daniel Stern get enough respect from the establishment, I have to keep wondering? His soothing reminisces as the older Kevin helped make the series and added a whole load of flavor to it (at least he HAS gained immortality for his uncanny skills at falling down stairs while screaming at the top of his lungs, which no one can do better, period). The show probably wouldn't have worked as well without his dulcet tones easing us back to times gone by.

... and he was the bully in The Monster Squad.

Wonder Years was an attempt to capture the feel of 'Stand by Me' for TV. It's no coincidence that SBM had been a surprise hit earlier that year. Unusually, the TV attempt to capitalise on the movie and the nostalgia for the 60's as a whole worked really well.

I loved The Wonder Years growing up. I can't discuss specific episodes, because it's been so long since I've seen it. They really need to put this show into syndication.

I've always loved shows/movies that are nostalgic about the past...especially the 60's. And I love coming of age stories. They just don't make TV shows like that anymore.

And, of course, it had one of the best theme songs!

I had no idea it was created in response to 'Stand By Me'...that's my favorite movie.

One of the great things about Back to the Future and Stand By Me and things like that, is they take place at a point that directly precedes great social changes. Wonder Years takes place during those changes, but since it comes from the point of view of a child (with an adult reminiscence) it works really well. A Christmas Story has a similar effect.

Yep, you can't go far wrong with a Beatles tune!

Good show, don't remember much about individual episodes as its been well over a decade. Eveyone was well cast and the performances were always good, underrated actress Olivia D'Abo played an interesting character.

The best show on TV. Ever. My favorite episode was the one where Wayne and Wart decided they wanted to join the Army, only Wayne didn't pass part of his physical. It's because of the Wonder Years that I like some of the older music that I do. I wish it would be released to DVD, or go into syndication. I loved it!!
