Hands down one of my favorite soundtracks of the 80's, the movie too. Been listening to it a lot of late for some reason. The artists on it have spawned future searches to see what else they did. Just found out that the band Hanover Fist who did metal of the night were from Toronto, had no idea. They have one album trying to seek out, Atomik you have it by chance? Donut city by Eddie Van Halen is probably the biggest one, because seems to be his only (released) solo recording. Try to jam out to it every now and then. Have heard rumours for years that the music he did elsewhere in the film will be released. Would dig that, but never seen anything after all these years. Peter Case is one of my favorite artists being that he was in the Nerves and the Plimsouls, but he never quit after and still releases stuff albeit in a more rootsier direction. Still a great under appreciated artist. The Louise Goffin song with GoGo Charlotte Caffey, thought it was Rachel Sweet! She is the daughter I believe of Carole King. The Three O'clock song is pretty good, a good powerpopish band who were in the same scene as the Bangles and Pandoras. They have an awesome song called Jet Fighter plane. As for the Bananarama and Andy Summers they need no introductuion. Pretty much have every thing from Bananarama and the Police. Nice to hear Summers singing though, as you only heard him a few times on Police tracks. Might have to investigate his solo albums down the road. David Jerden track is interesting because I believe he became a big time producer later, I am sure he produced the Offspring!

It´s definitely a good soundtrack, i have the lp.

My bro owns the Hanover "Hungry Eyes" cd. It´s actually the ´85 MCA re-release cd with bonus tracks and they dropped the Fist part.
I like it very much, nice heavy rock sound. Metal of the Night is of course the crown jewel.

I have Andy Summers´ first solo lp "XYZ" and it´s the only one to feature his vocals. I love it!

Charlie Sexton is also on the soundtrack and i love his Pictures for Pleasure and s/t albums.

Van Stephenson is another supercool fella who´s on the lp and he died way too early. He released three albums and i cherish all of them.

The story how Eddie heard the Metal of the Night track is interesting.

He was working with the soundtrack and one day had some car troubles. So he loaned some executive´s vehicle and Hanover Fist tape was in the car stereo.
Eddie liked the stuff and you know the rest so the track was destined to be on the album [Cool]

I knew if there was anyone on this site who would have Hanover Fist it would be you or your brother Atomik! Great story about Eddie hearing the tape in the car stereo. Kind of digging these soundtrack metal bands, making me reach for Fastway on Trick or Treat soundtrack. Out of Bounds is another good soundtrack been listening to.

If you want good old heavy metal soundtrack, check out the Heavy Metal [Smile]

Btw, Hanover Fist took their name from the comic book and/or film.

Love the Trick Or Treat album here's my LP of it (above) which I only actually picked it up last month though I do also own it on CD but I found some of the recordings on it to be a little bit high pitched and that's why I decided to get the Vinyl.

I only own one Van Stephenson album and that is Suspicious Heart but it is awesome and I agree Atomik a great talent who died too young!
