It's only held up for those who like this kind of music. Any type of music can hold up for someone who likes it........

Not sure if I'm going to add anything to this, but it is nice to go back to the old songs of motown, Otis Redding, Sam Cook, Elvis and what not. I think it's healthy to listen to a dose of all music of different decades and eras.
Isis, did you ever hear Guns n Roses covering Since I don't have you/Skyliners?

I love the old R&B and soul classics.
I've always been more partial to the Philly sound over Motown but both cranked out a lot of great songs over the years.

Didn't think Axl could pull it off when they covered that, but it worked. I also like a lot of the punk covers they did on the Spaghetti incident.
