Dang! There were LOADS of their hits in the day! I remember 'Stay The Night' was huge when MTV started up, but there were a lot of others too. What was yours?

I liked Stay the Night, but I also liked Hard Habit to Break.

Your the Inspiration is also a good mushy one for all of you ones that are in love!

As far as true 80s Chicago songs, It would be "Hard To Say I'm Sorry." Or "You're The Inspiration" when I'm in the mood for it.

I remember seeing Chicago in concert outdoors at the fair. The speaker system was SO bad that night, just all kinds of distortion. I had to leave halfway through.

"Chasin' The Wind" is my current fave from the 1991 Chicago 21 album. It had a fun video too.

Did the best I could
To make you mine
If you ever felt anything for me
Well, you never gave a sign

Thought time would make you change
Make you want me
But baby I never had a chance
Now I know that there's just some things
Just not meant to be

CHORUS

No use
Making you care about me
No way
That I'm gonna win
Oh darlin'
I might as well be
Chasin' the wind
Oh, I'm just
Chasin' the wind

Opened up my heart
Let you inside
If love was what you were lookin' for
Well, I guess it wasn't mine

So I guess I better go
It's over and done
But you know I'm not really sad at all
'Cause you can't really say it's over
When it never had begun

CHORUS

Can't reach the sea
If you can't get past the sand
Can't touch the sky
If you can't reach up your hand
Can't give if you give nothing back

Hard to say I'm Sorry
You're the Inspiration
If you Leave me Now

Devolution here,

If you leave me now came out in the 70's.

Not that it's not a great song. Or possibly your favorite. I think the reason he asked for your favorite 80's song from Chicago is because the styles are like night and day (not the Joe Jackson album).

WE are DEVO
