I am listening to this song right now by Howard Jones, he was really popular the year I graduated high school, my best friend bought me a Howard Jones t-shirt to wear at our graduation party...I loved it, I have no idea what happened to it...same thing with my Buckwheat t-shirt...anyway...does anyone like this song too?

No One Is To Blame
Howard Jones lyrics
You can look at the menu, but you just can't eat.
You can feel the cushion, but you can't have a seat.
You can dip your foot in the pool, but you can't have a swim.
You can feel the punishment, but you can't commit the sin.
And you want her, and she wants you.
We want everyone.
And you want her and she wants you.
No one, no one, no one ever is to blame.

You can build a mansion that you just can't live in.
You're the fastest runner, but you're not allowed to win.
Some break the rules, and let you cut the cost.
The insecurity is the thing that won't get lost.
And you want her, and she wants you.
We want everyone.
And you want her, and she wants you.
No one, no one, no one ever is to blame.

You can see the summit, but you can't reach it.
It's the last piece of the puzzle, but you just can't make it fit.
Doctor says you're cured, but you still feel the pain.
Aspirations in the clouds makes your hopes go down the drain.
And you want her, and she wants you.
We want everyone.
And you want her, and she wants you.
No one, no one, no one ever is to blame.
No one ever is to blame.
No one ever is to blame.

Devolution here,

He had 3 pretty good songs,

No one is to blame,
Everlasting Love,
and of course,
Things can only get better.

Some good tunes nonetheless.

I also happen to have "Like to get to know you well" which is from the better off dead soundtrack, but not on it.

WE are DEVO

IMO he had at least 5 very good songs:
The ones you mentioned plus 'Hide and Seek' and 'What Is Love'.

Especially 'Hide and Seek' is an awesome track.

Hojo had more hits than I cared to notice in the 80's. I like the three that Devo named plus I liked New Song, You know I love you(the video was cool if I remember) and the prisoner.

I really like Howard Jones. All of the songs you mentioned TKO especially. I like What is Love also.

Just don't try to live your life in one day.

New Song would have to be my favorite by him.

The synth roll on 'New Song' is irresistible. 'No One Is To Blame' is a very nice song too.

When I hear his music nowadays, he certainly is a kind of artist I miss. The last song I heard from him in the ealry 90's was Lift me up. Has he had any good stuff since then?

HJ lives in my town. [Cool]

A friend of mine works with him, and the really cool thing for him is that all through his childhood, Howard Jones was his idol. And now they share studio and tours together.

"No One Is To Blame"...

Good song. Phil Collins co-produced the song, plays the drums on it, and sings backup vocals on it.
