A few nights ago I was watching THE SURE THING and they had a few decent '80s songs in the movie that were never huge hits but I remember them none the less. One was "Dancing In The Dark" by Peter Wolf, who I believe was from the J Geils Band. the song starts out "Lights out...uh huh....Flash Flash flash" (or is it "dance dance dance"?) i remember having this on a vinyl 45 as a teenager. I also had a vinyl 45 of another peter Wolf song called "I Need You Tonight".
So I go online looking to buy a Peter Wolf cd and...nothin. I guess these singles had come out in a time when stuff was only released on vinyl or cassette.
Is there a THE SURE THING soundtrack out there somewhere? If so I would guess its not on CD.

Yes he was the lead singer of the J. Geils band and he was also married to actress Faye Dunaway from '74-'79.

Me either...my Gosh what an oddball combo.

I love that song too Mamamia!!!

We used to love to sing along with it...
Lights Out...uh huh...

Flash, Flash, Flash...

that is such a great 80's song.

I have the Sure Thing, but I have never seen it yet, I keep forgetting about it. I really need to watch it soon.

Wow, hard to believe Peter Wolf and aye Dunaway were together. She seemed way too high maintenance for him. I also found out that director David Lynch was roomates with Peter at one point. Weird world!
