If anyone can remember seeing this movie about a girl and her grandma or aunt inside a house and these pale human faced people from space are in the house, the girl and her grandma hide in a room upstairs and after a little while the girl gets brave and checks to see if its safe for some reason she befriend them and helps them the human like people are mystic and from outer space. I recall glowing lights I think they had white hair and turn a dude at the start of the movie into dust possible the girls boyfriend or ex he was in a pickup truck outside the house. NEED the tital of this 80's 90's movie THANX

aTomiK.. once again an excellent answer.. and you haven't even watched it yet!

The description above is definitely "Stranded" with Ione Skye, Cameron Dye, and Flea as an alien.

Here's the old thread that was actually started by Ronnie that only you and I responded to.. ha

Stranded (1987)

I remember watching a 90's flick with Ione Sky and Fairuza Balk in the early 90's called Gas, Food, Lodging. It also had Jacob Vargas from Ernest Goes to Camp. At the time I thought it was pretty good. I thought Fairuza Balk was so so gorgeous in that movie.

"Gas, Food, and Lodging" is a quirky entertaining flick and I totally enjoyed see the brother/sister combo of Donovan Leitch and Ione Skye in the same movie.

Most people think of "The Craft" (outstanding movie) when it comes to Fairuza Balk, but "Gas, Food, and Lodging" might actually be her best performance.

I thought James Brolin was quite good also. Definitely Fairuza's best performance I think. She has never looked better in any other movie either. I have not seen it since the early 90s either. But I did watch it probably 3 or 4 times then. Will have to check this one out again soon.
It's not the most fantastic movie by any means but their is a presence about it that really draws me too it, if that makes sense.

I actually didn't know about the brother/sister combo either.

Is this where I tell you both that you are probably lucky because "Stranded" is less than stellar except for the actors in it?

I always wish Cameron Dye had a bigger role in "The Last Starfighter"..
