What do you think of this movie?

I haven't seen this movie in years but I know it was good.

I remember thinking it was much better than the critics made out. It was supposed to be a colossal crapfest ala Double Team or Knock Off, but I thought it was actually pretty decent. On a side note, I actually saw it in Brussels when it first came out there, which was in 1997. It was awesome seeing all the rabid Van Damme fans from his homeland.

Hey, have you seen JCVD yet? Everybody thought he was dead & buried and then he shocked everyone by actually showing off some acting ability. I wonder if he's poised for a big comeback? Turning down a part in Stallone's The Expendables probably didn't help, though.

I´m a big Van Damme fan (mostly 80s, early 90s stuff)
and watched Maximum Risk some 10 years ago.
I remember liking it.
Just bought the dvd, so i have to check this again soon.

I haven´t seen JCVD yet, but of course i have to see it.

aTomik, you'll probably like JCVD, Van Damme was excellent; great pathos and comic timing.

Phenominal trailer! they don't cut em' like this anymore. Voice over guy: "starring Natasha Henstridge of 'Species"..."Welcome, to the other side of safe"...what?!

Maximum Risk, directed by Hong Kong legend Ringo Lam (City On Fire) don't remember much about this movie at all though I'm sure I saw it at the time, could be worth another look.

Definately one of his better movies but that's probably more thanks to Ringo Lam.

I've actually initiated a campaign to watch all of his DTV movies from the past 10 years or so. I'm curious if there are any gems that flew under the radar.
