I was watching it last night...because it was on regular TV...I thought it would be heavily edited...but it wasn't....I had forgotten how bloody that movie was....and when the 2 boys start stabbing each other at the end...that was freaky.

I actually liked Courtney Cox and David Arquette in this movie...I thought they were kind of cute together.

The thing I liked about it ...was the ode to the 70's and 80's movies that they did...with all the talk about how people die in movies like Halloween...and they were even watching the original Halloween in a scene in the movie.

But...when I was watching it this time....I realized that there was no way that the killer/killers could have REALLY done what they did...it was such a "spoof"....and I never quite knew if it was meant to be that way or not.

I could never believe that nobody ever thought to title a horror movie "Scream" before this.

I actually thought "Scream" was a great movie when it first came out. Like so many other movies, it seems the sequels while entertaining seem to tarnish the greatness of the original in most people's minds. "Scream" poked fun at the genre, but it paid off with campy horror fun in my opinion.

Yeah, I liked Scream, too. I liked Matthew Lillard's character, Stu. Scream also had a great soundtrack.

Unfortunately, Scream was one of those movies like The Blair Witch Project that suffered under the weight of massive, non-stop media saturation and ill-advised studio franchise ambitions. I needed the last ten years just to let the dust settle and watch it again with a fresh set of eyes. Seen without all the extraneous garbage weighing it down, I remember why I liked it so much the first time I saw it.

I loved Scream. I was about 11 when it came out I believe. I think I saw it around that time as well. I have always been a huge fan of movies. Especially those of the horror genre.

I always thought that it was part of Cravens original plan to spoof all the others without making it Airplane-like. I think that is why it appealed to a bunch of us because it was made in a time where it was ALL sequels and had all been done before.

I loved Scream, I remember watching it at the cinema, I had too much Coke to drink and I spent the last 45 minutes of the film absolutely busting, but I didn't want to leave to go to the bathroom coz the film was so good!!

I thought Scream 2 was the best of the trilogy. Even though it was less funny, I found it much more suspensful.
