I am either lucky or unfortunate to have not seen either 'Dream Machine' (1990) or 'Fast Getaway' (1991) yet. Are they any good? Do I need not bother to seek them out?

I love his early work, and I am hoping they are more than just watchable at least. Cheers for any answers.

It is unfortunate that Corey Haim peaked at The Lost Boys and has never done anything good since. I would seriously give thos two movies you mentioned a wide berth.

Noms [Cool]

ps. I can send this in a PM if that is the preferred method these days [Wink]

One more vote for Dream Machine. I tracked that sucker down on Laserdisc, I could not settle for VHS [Big Grin]

I love Lucas. I also love the movie "Murphy's Romance"- he plays Sally Fields son in it, he was really young in it.

License to Drive is one of my all time favorite 80's movies.

I haven't seen either of those 2 movies you mentioned...I am sure cindymancini steered you in the right direction when it comes to Corey Haim.

It is really sad what happened to him. I saw him doing the VH-1 stuff...and I didn't even recognize him.

That's right... Remember when his mom tried the chocolate syrup on the cereal and she liked it? I tried it (in the 80s) and liked it too...

My Corey Haim recomendations:

Lucas
License To Drive
The Lost Boys
Watchers

He was also good in his stint on the Canadian T.V. series
The Edison Twins. I'm currently searching Amazon and ebay for old VHS copies.

I cannot believe people rate Watchers. Have you never read the book? This movie totally crapped all over a great story and replaced a grieving ex-marine with Corey ****ING Haim!!!

IDI Noms [Cool]

ps Feldman would kick Haim's *** in any movie showdown!!!!

The Fast Getaway films are decent.......but they don't come close to topping Demolition High. D.H. is Haim at his best. This one gets a high ranking on the cheese factor. 3 thumbs up.

License to Drive and Lucas. Some of the other ones that people like to mention like The Lost Boys are merely supporting roles for the Haimster. And everything post-Fast Getaway is a total waste of time even for Haim fanatics.
