What do you think of Mel's Hitch**** spoof? While not every joke hits the target, those that do are among his very best; among my favorites are the running gag of Ron Carey trying and failing to pick up heavy objects ("I got it...I got it...I got it...I ain't got it!" THUMP!), the Psycho bit with the overstressed bellboy and the newspaper, and **** Van Patten's murder by radio ("If you love me baby tell me LOOOOOOOOUUUDD!")

While its not up to the wonderful standars of YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN (which I have on DVD), HIGH ANXIETY is a very funny movie and I watch it when they play it on TV (which is quite a lot. I view it about once a year). My favorite part is when the guy bludgeons the guy with the newspaper in the shower (the last time it was on TV I actually called my daughter into the room so she could watch that part. She didn't find it that funny...but then again she's never seen PSYCHO) I love the radio part too. And theres a part at the very beginning where someone is taking pictures of Mel Brooks and he starts doing all these funky poses. That part cracks me up too.
This is a movie I probably WOULD all to my collection if they didn't play it on TV so much.
