Does anyone know what this fim might be called all I remember was there was some kids and an old woman was helping them to try and solve some sort of mystery or robbery or murder maybe. One of the kids nickmane was spider.

It sort of all ways reminded me of the watcher in the woods for some reason.

Thanks

Steve

It sounds like it might be 'From the Mixed-Up Files of Mrs. Basil E. Frankweiler' (known in England as 'The Hideaways'):

The R1 DVD is actually a TV remake. The original film is available on US video, but not over here.

Hi
think this is an Australian movie Mystery at castle house.
There were two kids on holiday and they meet Spider a streetwise kid who tells them the house is haunted, all three get a boat and row out to to the Island the house is on ,they discover an old lady lives there. There are a gang of Criminals (Smugglers?) who are using the house as a base they tie up the kids in the bacement and it is the old woman who saves the day.
Alf from Home and Away plays the head of the Criminals.
