Wow, here's a movie I think everyone has sort of forgotten about. I just stumbled across this last weekend. So good! Ione Skye, River Phoenix and Matthew Perry. Check this one out if you haven't seen it in a while. I especially like the scene where Ione makes River role play as a burgler with a mask on his face. Very sexy...Any thoughts on this movie? Anyone? Anyone?

Not a bad coming of age deal. More on a dramatic level which is why I'd say it was mostly overlooked back then.

Couple good moments: Phoenix lil poem to the people at the dinner party ("F*** you all, you all, you all");

A goofy genital fondling scene early on;

Phoenix call to his dad at the end of the film ("Jimmy is that you?!!! Talk to me you little son of a ***** or I'll break your *** damn ass!");

Or "I knew my father was waiting for me at home waiting to gouge out my eyes with a rusty spoon".

Matt Perry wasn't bad in it, either.

McFly, you make me laugh :) I forgot about the poem...that was damn funny. It's a shame River is gone.

Ya know, Cindy, I caught an old episode of the 80s nightime soap "Hotel", just the other day. In this particular one, Robert Reed, the Brady Bunch dad, and Phoenix, played a father and son. And I'm sitting on my couch going, "It's so crazy to think that both those actors are dead, and this was only filmed about 17 years ago".

Yeah, I hear ya McFly. It's freaky that alot of cool, young people are dead, like Aaliyah. Anyway, back to the main topic... What the hell channel are you getting Hotel on? Do you have the dvd of Jimmy Reardon? Is there anything extra on it? I just bought it off of Amazon...I hope it doesn't suck :) Goodnight.

Cin, Hotel comes on the Soap channel as part of my programming package of other stuff.

Nope, don't have the Jimmy DVD, was unaware it was out.

Sorry to have to tell you, but I just checked at Netflix.com and there are no specialties with it. Unless you count "In color and enhanced for large screen tvs!" Weeee!!

Yes, some of his movies are pretty pricey!
I haven't seen The Thing Called Love yet, though.
