Has anyone seen this movie from 1981?? I watched Terror in the Aisles last night, and there were clips from this movie in it, and I wanted to find out the name of it...it sounds pretty wicked...it is about a shy and mute girl who gets raped twice in 1 day, and goes nuts and starts killing men on the streets of New York with a 45 gun.

It starred a girl named Zoe Lund, who I never heard of before...but it said she died in 1999 of a drug related death ( heart and lung Failure), she was only in her 30's when she died, she was about 19 when she did this movie.

I have never seen it anywhere...and wanted to know more about it...does anyone know anything?

i think i saw that a long time ago. she masquerades as a nun, yes? the director, abel ferrara, is one of these legendary horror-director guys, did "bad lieutenant" with, um, what's his name? harvey keitel, and a remake of "the body snatchers" and, um, who could forget that timeless classic "driller killer"?

i see ms. 45 mentioned a lot in the same breath as that movie, was it called "angel"? where the heroine masquerades as a prostitute and exacts vengeance on a bunch of people. that was huge i remember, when i was a kid, "angel."

I love the movie "Angel". The first one has Donna Wilkes in it, and is a great movie...I guess I could see the similarities. Donna was Kim Richards sister in Hello Larry...so there's another 6 degrees of seperation in 80's actors. [Wink]

no way! i love kim richards connections.

i should hasten to add that i'm not sure i'd recommend ms. 45. i think i saw it, i don't remember specifically, but i saw those other abel ferrara movies i mentioned and didn't really like any of them that much. "bad lieutenant" was the closest to being good (you know, harvey keitel is always great!) but even that movie kinda gave me a headache.

i'ma put "angel" on my queue though! i remember digging that movie. good clean goofy fun.

Ms. 45 is a cult classic. Zoe Tamerlis was very good in this movie, though I prefer "Angel" when it comes to this type of movie. Very violent and it has grown in stature with the death of its star at such a young age.

Random thoughts:

Hey, she went to the same high school that I did for my 11th and 12th grade years. It's a shame about her death, though. I really need to track down a copy of "Ms. 45" for reviewing purposes.

Sincerely,

John Kilduff

This was in fact released on dvd in the US through Image Entertainment in 2000.
The transfer was of fairly good quality, but unfortunately it wasn't the full uncut version.

The US dvd release (packaged in one of those old-school, cardboard snapper cases)

I believe there was a more recent release in France.
No idea íf it's the full uncut version.
