"A child witnesses drug dealers murder his parents. He escapes and grows up wild in the city's slums.
Years later he emerges to help the residents of the area who are being terrorized by street gangs and drug dealers."
(IMDb)

This was a pretty cool movie directed by Max Reid and written by Larry Stamper and the legendary John Sayles.
Starring Robert Knepper, Kathleen Quinlan, Robert Davi and Maury Chaykin.
Knepper and Quinlan did a good job, Davi loves his bad guy roles and Chaykin gives a solid performance as a dirty cop.

I liked the idea about a modern day "Tarzan" living in the urban jungle.
Inside this jungle there´s this "Zone" for the outlaws and outcast society and the safehouse for troubled teens.
The teens know this myth about a mystic Wild Thing character few have ever seen.

George S. Clinton has once again composed a good soundtrack
and you can also hear tunes from artists like Jefferson Airplane, Roger Hodgson and of course, The Troggs´ "Wild Thing".
There´s also a killer tune performed by Barry Coffing called "Business Lady".

Good cast, cool music and things get surprisingly violent in the end.
Check it out!

Yo..i remember picking the rental cover as a kid, but never ever got to see it, Im gutted!
Where can i get it?

For some reason, this clashed with my fascination with the barbarian/warlord movies also Heman-masters of the universe.

just looked up the price for this on vhs,for a video it's pretty steep ,between £10 - 15 pounds, due to the lack of a dvd release this must have become quite rare,i'll have to keep an eye open next time i go round the old car boot fairs.
