has anyone seen the 1981 slasher movie the fan and if so is it any good?

i know it has a great cast- michael biehn, lauren bacall and james garner.

been wanting to watch this one for many years but it's quite a rare title and have had trouble obtaining a copy for a reasonable price!

If you are a fan of Michael Biehn then "The Fan" is definitely worth watching. Very early role and he is excellent as the obsessed fan.

The movie itself is only marginally good though in my opinion. Do you like slasher musicials? ha .. you'll get that later if you watch this movie.

The cast was like old Hollywood's way of trying to take a stab at the early 80's slasher craze. It just didn't quite feel right to me .. but I've read postings from other folks that really enjoyed this movie. I think if you can pick it up at reasonable price .. give it a chance.

I agree with Valley. Biehn's good (he usually is), but the movie isn't up to his performance.
