Who remembers when this came out in November of 1988? i did, i was living in San Diego before moving to Carlsbad (CA that is, not NM). It was an awesome experience seeing it at age 7 as i had some merchandise like Pizza Hut puppets, PJs, PVC toys from sears, coloring books and that sort of thing even for christmas.

I saw it 2 times in theaters and my mom got me this for my 8th birthday.

Another good Bluthian film, where he again tackles his frequent theme of overcoming adversity and tragedy with success (as I've said before on here, give the man credit for not being afraid to be tragic from time to time; we feel wholly for Littlefoot's mother being willing to give herself up for her child's sake, as any parent worth their salt would do). I do remember the toys (I think I got Spike at Pizza Hut, although he's long gone by now), and first saw it at recess in 2nd grade, during the course of which year I did in fact take in all Bluth's films up to that point in time.
