after finding the answers to most of my childhood here (HUGGABUNCH, FUZZ BUCKET) i still have one film that i cannot find, probably because i cannot remember it as well as i did the others.
the movie was available on vhs in the early 80's, and i think it was an 80's film (could be late 70's). it featured a majority of asian cast if not all asian cast. it was about a woman who finds love with a man who is in the military. i remember scenes from the movie, such as the two having a romantic encounter in a hanger (or perhaps on a plane). the woman and the man decide to get married and she invites her father to her wedding (the father was never in her life much) and the father feels regret for not being in his daughter's life so he tries his hardest to get to her wedding. i remember him paddling in a boat and passing by an iceberg, eventually something happens to him and i i'm fairly sure he dies before he can get to the wedding so the daughter never knew he was coming or how hard he tried to make it there. he was also wearing one of those eskimo/inuit looking hats if that helps.
i know i'm not describing it the best, but figured someone here may have seen it. thanks for looking.
