Devolution here,

I remember growing up and thinking that this was going to be one of the great movies of our time. I mean is it funny becuase it has a lot of good character actors from the 80's? Probably. Is there brief nudity in the beginning that would have drawn 10 year old me in from the get go? Yes.

But watching it in the morning the other day I couldn't look at it and think that it was amazing. It was good, I mean, it had it's moments, but I kind of characterize it like Doctor Detroit. You should see it to say that you have seen it, but in the long run it's "eh".

Just curious on everyone's thoughts.

Thought it was fair-to-middling then, think it's fair-to-middling now. It's nice to see all of those fun performers--like Bill Maher--but (a) it's very shabbily made; and (b) not really all that funny. "Dr. Detroit," while not a world beater, is funnier, is a much better put together film, and has an energetic Dan Aykroyd performance.

That's the funniest line in that movie. Busey is always great! Once upon a time, he was an Oscar nominee for Best Actor, but now he's just crazy.

i always liked this one, found it quite amusing, saying that my father in law came over one day and i put it on for him thinking he would like it but he sat there stony faced throughout.
so it's definitely not to everyones taste.

here in the u.k it was known as street fleet, where as in the philippines i read it was known as mr t and company.

gary busey is his usual awesome self, this, the buddy holly story and as uncle red in silver bullet and as agent pappas in point break the guy is always great to watch.

a really fun movie.

Watched D.C. Cab and i loved it!

Fantastic cast, superfun characters and great soundtrack!

Gary Busey was simply amazing (and probably high too [Smile] )
It was also great to see the Barbarian Brothers aka David and Peter Paul in their first feature film.
Gloria Gifford was superhot once again and this was also Jill Schoelen´s first feature film.

The, mostly Giorgio Moroder penned, soundtrack rocks!
Cool tunes especially from Irene Cara, Stephanie Mills and Champaign.

Irene Cara - The Dream

This movie is pure 80s magic!

How you keeping atomik, hope all's going well, pleased you enjoyed d.c cab I also think it's a very fun movie.

joel schumacher is a pretty hit & miss director but he's done some great movies over the years, last movie of his I caught was blood creek aka town creek,i liked it,I thought it was a pretty decent low budget horror flick despite it's fair share of negative reviews,i reckon you should definitely check it out if you haven't already.

A lot of fun, but one I would see every 2-3 years. Could have been better, kind of put it in the category of Vice Academy or Night Patrol.
