This is another movie I love to watch this time of year. I really love this movie. Tom Selleck plays such a nice guy-I like how nice of a couple he and his wife are together.

Those cops are such total jerks, and stuff like that is really scary, how they framed him.

Does anyone know if it is out on DVD??

Does anyone else like it too??

Funny...I was thinking about this movie a cople of days ago wondering if it was on DVD too. I enjoyed it a lot. Tom Selleck was awesome in it. I liked the way he went in innocent and ended up tought and very respected by the other inmates.
Cool show.

This is one of my personal fave Tom Selleck movies, very underrated with one of the best revenge/justice plots we're likely to see. Probably the finest acting job Selleck ever did tbh, and yes, the cops were two of the most despicable characters I've ever seen in film - similar to Richard Gere's character in Internal Affairs, and just as corrupt (tho obviously Affairs came later..) - really nasty pieces of work.

What I enjoy most about this movie tho were the prison scenes with F Murray Abraham's character, very terrifying and realistic. Quality film!

Isis: - any thoughts on that other late 80's Selleck flick, Her Alibi? An equally underrated movie that I enjoyed more than most it seems (tho Paulina Porizkova might've had a lot to do with that ;-))

Oh, this was a very good crime flick directed by Peter Yates (Breaking Away, Krull, Suspect etc.)

Tom Selleck is fantastic as Jimmie Rainwood and F. Murray Abraham also shines as the veteran convict.
David "Sledge Hammer" Rasche plays his dirty cop role very well
and i also loved to hate Bruce A. Young who played the black bully Jingles.

The old Hamilton County Jail looked like a really scary place
and i liked that Rainwoods life in prison certainly wasn´t a walk in the park.

A cool way to end the Tom Selleck marathon,
i totally agree that this is one of his finest acting jobs.

Yes Atomik, it is very good.

The bathroom off the gym scene was intense. The stuntman jumping 15 feet off the ground to clear a car near the end. Tom Selleck was way to happy while doing his job at the airport.

"An Innocent Man" is definitely Tom Selleck's best role - excellent film, and he is great in this. I never heard of the film until around 5-6 years ago, when it was recommended to me.

I like how this film depicts something we rarely hear about in the criminal justice system/the news, i.e. a story about someone that is 100% innocent of a crime, but gets convicted anyway.

F. Murray Abraham was great in this film as well; very convincing as the seasoned convict that was a kind of mentor to the Tom Sellek character. His final comment to the two corrupt officers at the end (as they walked into the prison) was classic!

Abraham is obviously best known for his role as Salieri in "Amadeus", but was also good in this film & in "Scarface" (1983).

I agree with you guys this probably is Selleck's finest performance and it's a great little action drama with a first rate cast.

The two crooked cops are despicable and you can't wait for them to get there just deserts!
