Hi im looking for a movie i dont know the name of it and i dont remember much but i remember this in the movie: there's a girl and her brother and friend(s), they run away from home and keep trying to avoid the police because their parents have went to the police looking for them but they dont want to be found, they end up running into this young guy and he takes them to this old put put course where they hide out for a while, the oldest girl has long blonde hair and cuts it off really short in his bathroom then they hide out a little more and finally they turn them selfs in or get caught and while there at the police office the friend that is a girl cuts all of her hair off too. I know this sounds really crazy but it was a movie i watched along time ago and i cant for the life of me figure out what the movie is called or who is in it. I hope someone out there happens to know of this movie or something like it. I greatly appreciate anyones help that can give me the name or more info on the movie. [Smile]

Sounds like The Legend of Billie Jean, one of my favorite 80's movies! Unfortunately, it's not available on DVD yet, but it is shown on cable frequently.

The Rewind....helping normal people rediscover their youth one forgotten 80's movie at a time!

Btw, jamesgang - excellent description of "Legend of Billie Jean" for Veronica who tagged it as one of her favs already.

Had it on my HD-DVR, but erased it for space..now I want to watch it!

Helen Slater was so flippin' HOT in that movie (before she cut her hair). This is THE #1 movie that I wish would get a DVD release. I burned a DVD from a recording that came off one of the HD channels. I made a case up for it and stuck it on my shelves in my DVD collection as a placeholder to tide me over until they hopefully give us a real release.

In the very early '90s I went to Corpus Christi with my parents. We went shopping in the same mall seen in the movie. We also drove down Ocean Dr. to look at all the big houses and mansions. I can't be sure which one it was, but I'm sure we saw Lloyd's house too as it was located on that street.

The miniature golf course was purpose-built for the movie. The site is now occupied by the Texas State Aquarium.

That's awesome that you got to see some movie locations from Billie Jean, 1badgmc. My Aunt recently chopped off all her hair and bleached it blonde and it looks EXACTLY like Helen Slater's. I keep telling her hair to wear one dangly earring but she won't listen..ha!

I want to go back sometime and take the wife and kids. Do a little more research and see what other locations I can find and see if I can scope them out on the trip. Corpus has to be so dang far down there, though. I live IN Texas and it's still an 8 hour drive to get there!
